The successful candidate must be skilled with a good working knowledge of carpentry, drywall and general building knowledge including renovation and re-builds. You are a seasoned Construction Estimator who has experience on large and small scale projects. You are a leader in your career path and look to mentor others. You would be responsible for: preparation of a range of cost estimates from concept to tender, prepare quantity take offs and identify general requirements, review of contract agreements and would work closely with project management staff. Completion of college, vocational or technical training with a full understanding of construction drawings and their specifications. Three (3) to five (5) years of Canadian experience. Project size of estimating: $0 - $2 Million. Specific skills would include: prepare estimates of labour and material costs, maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors, prepare estimates for general expenses, construction costs and all overhead costs. Estimate pre-construction costs, set up monitoring and reporting. Salary will be based on experience and is highly competitive.
